A Gift for Ewe

A Gift for Ewe

I cannot see plaid without thinking of my mom. She loves plaid! This card definitely made me think of her as I was putting it together.

The cardstock is from the paper pack, Christmas Plaids. Normally, $19.99, Michaels has it on clearance as of today for $4.97. If you're interested, I suggest you hurry. I'm sure it won't last long.

I used the Sizzix Scalloped loop die to cut the white cardstock pattern. It is hard to see, but I used Gina Marie's stitched circle die to cut the deep red cardstock. I really like her dies. They are sturdy dies, cut well, and are reasonably priced. She offers fantastic service, too! The lace doily was cut using Cottage Cutz Tea Time Doily. I like the die, but it does take patience to clean out all the little bits, so be forewarned.

The adorable lamb is from the Lawn Fawn baah humbug collection, which I colored in using alcohol markers. To finalize the design, I weaved Lawn Fawn's Mistletoe cord through the doily and then adhered a bow.

Please join me on Friday for our last Christmas in July design. This time I won't be featuring a card. Instead, I thought we would 'wrap' up the month with a cute, decorative gift bag perfect for small gift-giving.

Thanks for joining me! Enjoy your week, and happy crafting!
