It's a Rosy Christmas

Forgive my play on words, but this card is dedicated to my friend Rose. She enjoys cardmaking, although she does not have any cutting machines. Therefore, the challenge is to find Christmas card designs that she (and others) can make with basic materials. That is our project for today!

The supplies you will need:

  • White cardstock cut at 6" wide x 8" tall, scored at 4"
  • 2 1/8" x 6" decorative strip
  • 1 7/8" x 3 3/4" silver foil
  • Adhesive
  • Interior sentiment stamp
  • Black ink
  • Foam dots
  • Christmas twine

I wanted to try a digital background, so I chose a striped pattern from Polkadoodles Baked with Love - Paper Heaven 1.  For the banner, I decided on Noel from the Baked with Love Sentiments collection. Although I prefer to use paper packs, a digital collection is a fantastic option if you do not have any Christmas cardstock on hand. All you need to do is download and print.

Assembly is a snap! Align the decorative border at the bottom edge of the card. (Tip:  If you have one, use your scoreboard for perfect alignment.) Layer the Noel banner on top of the silver cardstock, then fussy cut the bottom. Wrap the Christmas twine around the center a few times and secure. You can add an optional bow if you like. Finally, apply the banner to the top left corner of the card with foam dots.

This card could not be more straightforward. It definitely falls into the Quick and Easy category.

Looking for a more challenging design? Join me next Monday as I continue my Christmas in July series. Until then, thank you for joining me.

If you have a project idea that you would like to see...leave me a comment! I'll do my best to accommodate your request.

Happy cardmaking, my friends.

I will have to try this one. I have all these supplies, too. Love those foam dots. Aren't they fun?

I'm going to share your post here today to inspire others, as well.

    Thanks always,
