Christmas Kraft with Cricut

Christmas Kraft

As we head into the weekend, I thought I would share a couple of quick and easy Christmas cards utilizing kraft cardstock. By now, you probably realize I love the look of kraft paper. I know I have mentioned it enough!

My Let It Snow snowflake card features a large snowflake I cut using Design Studio. It does require an Access membership; otherwise, you will have to pay for the cut file. I cut the snowflake (5) times and glued them all together for dimension. The snowy background is from Lawn Fawn. The set includes two sentiments in the collection. I love these stamps! For stamping, I used Hero Hues Unicorn pigment ink. Of course, ribbon makes every card better! Especially if it is gingham.

The Christmas Tree card features a Sizzix lumber folder background. I bought the folder to make a card for my husband. I never thought  I would use it on a Christmas card. See, sometimes you even surprise yourself! The tree is another Access element. The sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn collection I linked above. I purposely left this card a bit plain since this falls into my "Quick & Easy" category. However, before giving it to someone, I would probably add a few more design elements such as adding lights to the tree and a bit of Ranger Glossy Accents to spice it up a bit more. I would probably also add some natural hemp cord.

Please join me on Monday as I bring you a sweet little lamb Christmas card. Lambs have a special place in my heart...or perhaps you figured that out by my name, Made for Ewe.

Thanks for joining me! I hope to see you soon.

  1. I really like the star and snow background, looks so good on kraft in white! In general, the rustic vibe of these cards is rather charming <3

    1. Thank you, Margarita! That was exactly the vibe I was striving toward.

The snowflake is my favorite as well. For me, you can't go wrong with kraft and gingham. I love both! Plus, the large background stamp made it such a breeze. This would be an easy design for a beginner to make. I always try to post beginner project before the weekend. As a mom and a children's author, I like to encourage "family" weekend projects--especially with everyone being indoors due to COVID-19.

For my friends (and new friends to be), I highly suggest visiting Margarita's blog. Her work is phenomenal. You can find Margarita's blog at www.GodivasDream.com.

Thanks so much for stopping by Margarita. I look forward to seeing your next design.
