Scootin' By

Front Cover of Card

At a time when many of us are sheltered-in-place, keeping in touch with friends is of utmost importance. I know I have been trying to send out cards more regularly. How about you?

With this in mind, I chose the digital graphic, Wryn Scootin' By, by Tiddlyinks. There was something about it that just tickled my fancy. Perhaps, it is because she is out enjoying life on her scooter, picking flowers with her sidekick.

Also, I could not help but add an adorable paper bow. I made it using the 1-2-3- Punchboard. I would have preferred having a bigger gem in the center of the bow, but at this point, my supplies are getting a little low!

The card is 5 x 5", which means it will either fit in an A7 envelope or you can make your own.

I have a vivid imagination, it must be the writer in me. Wryn's basket full of flowers made me imagine her in a field of flowers, picking them for a friend. Of course, in my mind, it is a bright and sunny day with birds chirping and butterflies flying. Add in a few fluffy, white clouds, and it is the perfect setting!

After coloring in the digital image, I scanned it into Photoshop and created the "sticker" effect and then saved it into a file so I could cut it out with my Cricut. I did the same for the bluebird and the butterfly in the next picture.

Scootin' By Sentiment

For my sentiment, I used Karen Burniston's Label Pop Up Die. It is a relatively new purchase for me, but I love it. I find myself reaching for it more and more. The sentiment came as part of the die set I purchased from Tiddlyinks.

For a look at the mechanism in action, you can watch the video below.

Thank you for joining me today. If you like the card or have any questions, please leave a comment! I would love to hear from you. Also, to be helpful, I have included a material list of the items I used below.

Have a gorgeous day, and happy crafting!
