Kind Cosmos Kraft Card

Kind Cosmos Kraft Card

This week I decided to do a simple bonus card for the blog. It is a quick & easy design on kraft cardstock. I have always been a big fan of kraft cardstock, wrapping paper, tags, etc. There is something about its simplicity that I have always connected with.

Since this is a bonus card this week, I am going to keep this blog post short & sweet. The design is a 5" x 7" layered design. I used black cardstock to mat each of my layers. For the inset layers, I used Stampin' Up's stitched rectangle dies. The black insert is mounted with foam dots as well as my orange cosmos, which is the Kind Cosmo stamp from Technique Tuesday. The dotted border is from an embossing folder by Darice. Finally, I added a touch of black satin ribbon. I left the interior of the card intentionally blank for use as a general card.

I thought this would make a great gift card set for someone, so I hand-colored the stamp with alcohol markers and then scanned it into Photoshop. I then expanded the border so I can easily use the Print and Cut feature on my Cricut to mass-produce. That way, I do not have to do the fussy cutting. I do this with almost all of my hand-colored stamps.

As promised, I am keeping this short, so thanks for joining me. I look forward to seeing you on Monday for my regular weekly blog release. In the meantime, if you have any questions or comments, I would love to read them! Please just leave me a note in the comments below.

Have a great week and happy crafting!
